Regular tilings via crystallization
Programm / Abstract:
I shall describe some old and new ideas on two dimensional crystallization, either finite or infinite. In particular, I will show examples of interaction potentials whose ground states develop into the triangular, square, or hexagonal tassellations of the plane. Time permitting, I will comment on the few known facts in three dimensions.
