The Computer Science Division is devided into the departments

  • Parallel and Distributed Systems
    Research on scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed algorithms, development of low-level algorithms for manycore systems

  • Supercomputing
    Consulting for the efficient use of supercomputers, procurement and operation of supercomputers, management and operation of the Berlin metropolitan area network BRAIN

  • IT-Service
    Planning, procurement and maintenance of the IT infrastructure at ZIB and operation of data archives for internal and external users
