Sun and ZIB have identified common range of topics and interests and therefore founded a Center of Excellence (COE) for „Data and storage management"  at Zuse-Institut Berlin (ZIB). Themes of this COE are especially data management (reliable, distributed file systems) and storage managment (high performance online storage, SAN technology and archive storage).
