Our research aims at development of novel and effective methods for visual data analysis. For this we develop and artfully combine algorithms from image and data analysis, geometry processing, computer graphics, and visualization. All research is motivated by real-world problems. Currently we are dealing with applications in biochemistry, biology, pharmacy, medicine, quantum physics, astrophysics, engineering, and environmental sciences.

Our developments are based on our software Amira, Lenné3D and Biosphere3D. For presentations of research work performed at ZIB we use the visualization theater Studio da Vinci.
