Lenné3D
Interactive Rendering of Complex Landscape Scenes
Description
This project is part of a larger cooperative research project which aims at a system for interactive 3D landscape visualization either in map view or out of a stroller's view. One team at ZIB and the University of Konstanz is developing a 3D player for interactive rendering of complex landscape scenes. In order to attain the demanded real time visualization algorithms have to be developed that
- synthesize realistic vegetation complexes from GIS- and planning data,
- reduce and properly depict highly complex geometry data,
- interactively render the landscape scene in varying levels of detail and graphical styles.
Further information is available in the detailed project description.
