Visual Analysis of Astrophysical Data
Description
Data from astrophysical simulations consist of a variety of types. The data can be given as scalars, vector fields or tensors. It usually is three dimensional time-dependent data given on a grid with spatially varying resolution (AMR). This project aims at the development of tools that enable researchers to visualize and analyze this kind of data. One of the main aspects is to construct secondary quantities, such as for example geodesics, to provide better insight into the data.
Further information is available in the detailed project description.
