We are a research group of mathematicians and computer scientists working
on geometric problems with a focus on applications in computer graphics. Major
topics of our work are geometric algorithms for surface optimization, where the
goal is to improve the quality of digital meshes, discrete differential geometry
with an emphasis on numerical analysis, and geometric expertise for CAD and
the computer graphics industry, we have cooperations with mental images GmbH,
Berlin, and the CAD/CAM experts of Tebis AG, Munich. And we are developping
JavaView, a 3D geometry viewer and mathematical visualization software.

We are continuing our work at the Free University of Berlin .
