Biosphere3D
Biosphere3D
Description
A major problem of landscape visualization is the amount of data: With high resolution satellite images and terrain models, as well as a large number of plants and buildings, landscape architects used to preprocess the data in tedious manual steps to lift the weight from the visualization software. Biosphere3D is an extensible open source software system that can actually process large amounts of data on its own. Advanced level of detail mechanisms compute only the parts that are required to show an interactive visualization to the user. In this project, we add general features to Biosphere3D, which can then be used in our specialized projects. Further information is available in the detailed project description.
