Projects and current work

• I am one of the developers of the MIP and CIP solving framework SCIP. It is one of the fastest non-commercial MIP solvers and provides broad support for Branch-and-Price.
• My main project is Advanced Solver Technology for Supply Chain Management, a cooperation with SAP. We are working on real-world supply chain problems, trying to improve the model formulation as well as to develop new general and problem specific methods to handle these problems more efficiently within SCIP and SoPlex.
• I am one of the creators of MIPLIB 2010 and still one of its maintainers.
• For my diploma thesis Generic Branch-Cut-and-Price, I developed the generic Branch-Cut-and-Price Solver GCG. I'm still doing some research in this direction in cooperation with the department of Prof. Marco Lübbecke at RWTH Aachen. I am specially interested in transferring "standard" MIP solving methods to the generic approach and in a parallization of the pricing process.
