Projects and research interests

I work as a research assistant in the Mixed Integer and Nonlinear Optimization group of the Optimization department at Zuse Institute Berlin. As a member of the BMBF Modal project on Developing new Integer Linear Programming Methods for Supply Chain Optimization, I am one of the main developers of the SCIP Optimization Suite. My work comprises the maintenance and development of SCIP plug ins for Mixed Integer Programming and the maintenance of the web pages.

Apart from SCIP, I organize the reading sessions of the group. I am also responsible for the maintenance and updates of optimization-specific software packages for the department.

I recently finished my master thesis about Empirical Analysis of Solving Phases in Mixed Integer Programming under the supervision of Thorsten Koch. For this thesis, we considered a tripartion of the branch-and-bound solving process into solving phases, each of which emphasizes a different goal of the solving process.

In 2013, I gained teaching experience as an exercise tutor for the Fall School on Numerical Mathematics and Optimization at VAST, Hanoi, Vietnam.

Downloads

IPET (Interactive Performance Evaluation Tool) is a Python package with modules for the work with MIP benchmark data. It comes with a graphical user interface of the same name for parsing, displaying, and exporting benchmark data. The package is distributed under the MIT license.
