What you should know about our institutional repository OPUS
The repository contains two kinds of entries:
The documents can be interlinked, when a ZIB-Report appears in a journal for example.
Please add the new or updated references of your publications in journals, conference proceedings etc. to your BibTeX file (to be found on the server of your department). The library will receive an e-mail the following day and process the changes. These changes are instantly visible.
For interlinking a ZIB-Report to another publication please add the urn of the ZIB-Report to your BibTex file. Whenever possible, include the DOI or URL of the article.
OPUS is setting up the publication lists on your personal websites as well as on the website of your department. In line “selectiontags” you can add one or multiple departments.
Guidelines for authors of ZIB-Reports
If you want to deposit a Report for publication please click Publications Repository OPUS4 and then use the button “Publish”
There are 2 possibilities for depositing a report:
1. The report is ready for publication: in this case you ask for a number by sending an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org . You prepare the ZIB-title page plus imprint of the report, inserting this number so that you are able to upload the pdf-file of your report in the registration process. The library will activate the document.
More about Creative Commons Licenses
For further details, please see: Klimpel, Paul. Free Knowledge Based on Creative Commons Licenses: Consequences, Risks and Side-Effects of the License Module «non-commercial use only - NC». Berlin: Wikimedia Germany, February 2013.
2. If you haven’t yet finished the report, but you would like to register it, then just skip the screen where you upload the file. The library will activate the announcement of the report and send you the number. When the report is completed you include the ZIB-title page plus imprint and send the pdf-file (and optional the ps-file) to email@example.com
Please make sure that the head of your department has accepted the article for publication.
Fellows and guests should indicate their current affiliation on the title page. Funds or grants are to be noted too.
Most publishers allow for the author's own version to be archived on the authors's own website or on an institutional repository. More detailed information is to be found here: SherpaRomeo.
