Theory of spatio-temporally resolved optical dynamics - excitation, propagation, and detection of elementary processes in hybrid-nanostructures

teaser

Short Description

Inhomogeneus spatio-temporal excitation of elementary excitations can be used to study the dynamics of transport phenomena within hybrid nanostructures and between their constituents. In particular, we focus on the theoretical description of

  • (a) the femtosecond excitation transfer on a nanometer scale in metal and semiconductor-hybrid structures, as well as
  • (b) the internal dynamics of compound elementary excitations
