Clinical diagnostics has an increasing demand for quantitative evaluation of medical image data to achieve objectivity and comparabilty. At the same time, the number of clinical applications of medical imaging increases. Not only radiologist, but also oncologists, orthopedists and surgeons, to name but a few, make more and more use of 3D visualization techniques. Thin-client technology alllows to provide visualization and evaluation functionality without latency throughout a complete hospital.
