Visualization Algorithms

In our research we develop new methods for data analysis, geometry reconstruction, and visualization - utilizing powerful algorithms from image analysis, computer graphics and numerical mathematics. Major topics are feature extraction from image, flow and molecule data, reconstruction of geometries and generation of FE grids, as well as visualization of complex geometries, scalar, vector and tensor fields.


Currently our main focus is on applications in biochemistry, neurobiology, neuroradiology, astrophysics, and flow dynamics. The developments are based on our software Amira.
