BIMoS Day "Shallow Water Flow Simulations"

Programm / Abstract:
Shallow water flows occur in a wide variety of water and environmental related application fields deal-ing with, for example, flood protection, river restoration, sustainable water management. Simulation of the associated processes is a concern of research and engineering practise since decades. Latest developments in remote sensing, numerical methods and high performance computing have led to a new generation of shallow water flow models as well as new conceptual approaches.
