STUDENT VOLUNTEERS: CALL FOR PARTICIPATION

There are several places of student volunteers for supporting the IEEE/EG International Symposium on Volume and Point-Based Graphics 2008. Each student volunteer will receive free registration for the conference, which includes proceedings and a ticket to the conference banquet. Please note that the free registration does not include SIGGRAPH 2008 registration, nor any allowance or special arrangement for travel and accommodation.

To apply for one of the places, please complete the application form, which is available in in PDF, and return it on or before 20 July 2008 by emailing it to pascucci (-@-) acm.org or faxing it to (801) 585-6513.

It is not required for an applicant to have a paper submitted to, or accepted by, either VG'08 or PBG'08. The selection process will consider a number of criteria, including enthusiasm, ability and research relevance. Notifications of acceptance will be sent out by VG/PBG'08 organizers on 25 July 2008.

To confirm the place, each successful candidate must send an acknowledgement of acceptance to pascucci (-@-) acm.org by 26 July 2008. It is also necessary for his/her advisor to send a short supporting email or letter, by 26 July 2008, to the PBG/VG'08 organizers to confirm the student status of the candidate.
