Adaptive Mesh Refinement (AMR) is a numerical multilevel technique,
associated with a particular hierarchical data structure. The scheme locally
achieves very high spatial and temporal resolutions and has been successfully
applied in many areas of numerical analysis.
This project aims at the development of visualization tools for this kind of
data structure to allow scientists to interactively explore their simulation
data. Further the application of AMR data structures to accelerate the rendering
of large datasets is examined.
