Blue Horses

Let's create an image like this. In any of the steps you are encouraged to vary parameters and play around.
 
 
 

We start with a famous painting by... (do you know the artist ? Send an e-mail to aic@zib.de and win a surprise price.) 
To load the image choose Create/Image/BlueHorses and click the red valve.
 
 
Now we smooth the image with Image/Smooth. The smoothed image is then used as input for the Transform/Gradient engine to create a vector field. 
 
 
 
Use Image/Add Noise to add noise to the original Blue Horses. Additionally you can increase the contrast of the resulting image. 
 
 
Create the final image by using the gradient vector field and the noisy horses as input for the LIC engine. Start with a filter length of 30...
