I am permanently working on Integrated vehicle and duty scheduling in public transit. In the process of designing an algorithm for this problem a lot of interesting subproblems emerged. Some of them are

resource constraint shortest path problems,
solving large set partioning, problems and their LP-relaxation,
column generation.

For more information see my Ph.D. thesis. I am also interested in: Robust Planning, Rostering, and Crew Assignment.

At the moment I am working most of the time on Vehicle Rotation Planning for Long Distance Passenger Railways.
