Combinatorial optimization is a very active international research frontier with a wide range of applications in areas such as transportation and logistics. In order to promote research by Chinese scholars, especially to train young researchers in this important field, the Beijing Center for Scientific and Engineering Computing (BJC-SEC), the College of Applied Sciences of Beijing University of Technology, and the Mathematical Programming Branch of the Operations Research Society of China will jointly organize an advanced workshop on Combinatorial Optimization with Applications in Transportation and Logistics from July 27 to August 2, 2015 in Beijing, China.
