MSO for Multiscale Systems
Real-life multiscale systems exhibit cascades of nonlinearly interacting scales for which standard two-scale approaches fail.
For such systems, novel seamless multiscale MSO methods and visualization techniques will have to be developed, especially if the associated models have multi-effect hybrid form (e.g. for biomechanics coupled to cellular systems biology in joint disease modelling, process design in artificial photosynthesis or rare event simulation in non-equilibrium molecular dynamics of aggregation).
