The ZIB is in walking distance (15-18 min) to the Harnackhaus (EuroVis09 conference venue). The map below shows the footpath. In the Arnimallee turn right directly in front of the math building (painted with the digits of pi).
Instead of walking the whole distance you can also use the metro from U Thielplatz to U Dahlem Dorf. Leave the metro station, turn right to Königin-Luise Str; after 250 m turn half-right to Hechtgraben; continue on the footpath to Arnimallee, turn left there and then in front of the math building (painted with the digits of pi) turn right.
