Since 19th of May, the Mimik-Explorer is shown in “Faszination Gesicht” (Vögele Kultur Zentrum, SZ). The Mimik-Explorer provides an interactive interface to our statistical model of facial expressions published at FG 2018. Due to its intuitive interaction-design, visitors can freely explore the diversity of facial expressions, which – at the same time – visually triggers spontaneous associations and interpretations. By recording the users responses, we have already collected a large database of more than 20 thousand labeled expressions. The interaction-interpretation loop of the Mimik-Explorer opens-up exciting new possibilities for perception research.
