Pay Grade E13 TV-L Berlin (100%)
as a fixed-term contract from March 1, 2021 until December 31, 2022.
As part of a project funded by the DFG Cluster of Excellence MATH+ you will develop and investigate model-based and data-driven methods to determine bite forces for dental implantology.
Your tasks
- modeling and simulation of mechanical loading of jawbones
- modeling of bone remodeling and its impact on mechanics
- developing machine learning methods for the prediction of bite forces
- developing methods to integrate simulated and measured training data
Your profile
- a master degree or PhD in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a comparable discipline
- a strong interest in numerical simulation methods and machine learning
- knowledge of finite element methods or artificial neural networks
- programming experience preferably in C++ and Python
- good communication skills, both within the project group and with the project partners
- the ability to work independently and goal-oriented
