Visual Data Analysis of Scaling Cascades in Complex Systems

The aim of this project is to develop methods for visually supported multi-scale analysis of simulated and observational data. The focus is on extraction and quantitative evaluation of features, i.e. application-specific structures of interest. The tools developed support interactive visual exploration and comparative visualization, e.g. for comparing different scales or simulation and measurement.

Within the CRC, the research activities, scientific communication and public outreach are supported by data management and analysis tools.
