Within the research project "Epistemic Reverse Side of Instrumental Images" of the cluster of excellence "Image Knowledge Gestaltung", the Humboldt University contributes in cooperation with the Zuse Institute Berlin with two installations "Face To Face - Interface" and "Mimic Explorer" to a exhibition of the German Hygiene Museum in Dresden.

Until 25th of February 2018, this exhibition takes place under the title "The Face – A Search for Clues". From portraiture of the 15th century to face recognition with video surveillance the exhibition presents the everyday handling of facial images and their impact on our self-preception and our communication.
