The HPC Systems group operates the supercomputers installed at ZIB and is responsible for the technical planning and deployment of the supercomputer services. The main system is the HLRN complex "Lise" being part of the distributed supercomputer system HLRN-IV which is being operated within the North German Supercomputing Alliance HLRN.
The activities of the group include system administration tasks like system monitoring, data backup, and user/project management. Furthermore, research projects in area of system and job level performance engineering are realized.
