Research position – PhD Student (f/m)
Pay grade E 13 TV-L Berlin (100%)

The position will be a fixed-term contract for two years with the option to be extended. 

Research Topic

Analysis and quantification of morphological and structural changes in cartilage of joints, based on modern, multi-modal medical imaging techniques. Assessment of correlation between image information and existing scores, identification of new image-based scores for gradual osteoarthritis, and development of methods and algorithms for automatic, image-based classification.

Requirements

  • above average master or diploma degree in computer sciences or mathematics
  • excellent knowledge in image processing and machine learning
  • profound knowledge in object oriented software development as well as programming skills in C++
  • strong interest in application oriented research & development within the area of medical image processing
  • ability to work in a team as well as independently and goal-oriented
  • good communication skills in English
