Tasks

Goal of the project “Multi-scale Virtual Fish” is to increase the insight into the functioning of the zebrafish nervous system by integrating measured and simulated data within a virtual environment and by performing visually supported analyses.

Primary tasks include:

  • Integration of measured anatomical (3D images, geometry) and physiological (activity time series) data into a common reference system,
  • Multi-scale neural network modeling, analysis and 3D/4D visualization,
  • Development and maintenance of a software solution to be used on a daily basis by neuroscientists.

The applicant is expected to collaborate closely with members of the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology of the Harvard University (USA). For further information on the field of activity please refer to www.zib.de/visual.
