The Digital Preservation System EWIG of KOBV and digiS, located at ZIB, has received the CoreTrustSeal certification for trustworthy repositories. CoreTrustSeal is an international non-profit organization that advocates for common standards for sustainable data infrastructures. The assessment was carried out by independent third parties from the field of data archiving and data security. In addition to the technical characteristics of EWIG, legal, financial, and organizational aspects were also evaluated. This certificate is a visible seal of approval for the efforts of digiS and KOBV to offer all partner institutions a reliable and trustworthy long-term archiving solution.
