We have started on the 15th of May 2023, the call for proposals for the funding programme for the digitisation of Berlin's cultural heritage for the year 2024 of the Senatsverwaltung für Kultur und Gesellschaftlichen Zusammenhalt (Senate Department for Culture and Social Cohesion). The call for proposals closes on 21 July 2023.

The object of the funding is the cross-disciplinary digitisation of outstanding or highly sought-after cultural assets that are representative of Berlin or its respective cultural institutions.

The aim of this funding programme is to make the digitised material and its data from Berlins cultural heritage institutions visible and accessible online, including via the portal of the German Digital Library (DDB), and to ensure its long-term reusability.

To prepare your project application, please inform yourself about the funding criteria using the current funding guideline for 2024 and also have a look at our accompanying documents: our FAQ and the preparation guide for structuring the project application. digiS advises cultural institutions on the development of project ideas and the preparation of the project application in advance of the application.
