Every year, the German Operations Research Society (GOR) awards a prize for outstanding dissertations in the field of Operations Research. The prize was awarded this year at a virtual general meeting of the GOR. The award went to (from left to right below in the picture) Dr. Felix Weidinger (Friedrich Schiller University Jena, supervisor: Prof. Dr. Nils Boysen), Dr. Isabel Beckenbach (Free University of Berlin, Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Ralf Borndörfer), Dr. Lena Wolbeck (Free University of Berlin, supervisor: Prof. Dr. Natalia Kliewer) and (not on the picture) Dr. Christian Mandl (Technical University of Munich, Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Stefan Minner). The award was presented by Prof. Dr. Anita Schöbel, the chairwoman of the GOR (top left), and Prof. Dr. Peter Letmathe, the chairman of the award committee (top center).
