Visualization System Amira
Amira is the visualization system developed at Zuse Institute Berlin. Most of the projects at the institute are based on this software.

Introduction

See amira.zib.de for more information. Besides developing modules for amira the overall development process is one of my interests.

Building Amira

The active part of amira is build of about 1-2 million lines of C++ source code. The supported platforms are Windows, Linux (x86, ia64, x86_64), IRIX (32 and 64 bit), SunOS (32 and 64 bit), and HP-UX (32 and 64 bit). Support for Mac OS X is planned. We are trying to build the system every night on all of these platform. Logfiles are evaluated and a report summarizing errors and warnings is generated to provide feedback to all developers. After a successful build, a binary distribution is automatically archived for testing.
