We cordially invite you to our digiS annual conference on November 13, 2025. This year's conference title is:

Datenkultur(en): Kooperation macht den Unterschied

The conference will be held in German.

At our 2025 annual conference, we want to discuss with guests from a wide range of cultural heritage institutions how digitalization – and, of course, the use of AI – is changing the way we work together. Virtual teams, networked data, digital infrastructures and new forms of human-machine interaction are shaping our working environment and our tasks more than ever before; people, data and machines are entering into new forms of cooperation. Based on these developments, we will discuss the conditions that exist or need to be created for success. After all, collaborative projects always pose challenges in terms of coordination and communication and the management of resources, data and knowledge. They challenge all those involved to constantly question their own points of view, working practices and attitudes in the collaboration.

digiS projects have also always been implemented cooperatively: to make distributed digital collections digitally accessible to everyone in one place, for transfer between culture and science, or by involving civil society in the project work.
We are therefore delighted to welcome a line-up of guests from the worlds of culture and science, as well as our 2025 project partners and Berlin's State Secretary for Culture, Cerstin Richter-Kotowksi, on 13 November 2025.
