This workshop aims at bringing together experts on (large- and smaller-scale) simulation of societal phenomena with experts on model reduction and data-driven model construction to explore the potential of research at the intersection of these fields for contributing to decision support on societal challenges. It is held back to back with a Decision Theatre workshop “Mobility and Social Cohesion – What Future for Berlin?” (taking place on March 10, 2020 at Zuse Institute Berlin) that poses a concrete application setting for this potential research area.

Organizers

Sarah Wolf (FU Berlin), Natasa Djurdjevac Conrad (ZIB), Stefanie Winkelmann (ZIB), Stefan Klus (FU Berlin)

Date and Venue

This workshop will take place on 11 March 2020 at FU Berlin, Arnimallee 6, Room 032.
