Research Infrastructure Support Environment (RISE) combines high-performance computing and large-scale data storage with container virtualization.

The use of containers allows research groups from all user institutions to run their various applications on the high-performance compute and storage infrastructure at ZIB. Containers can be created in a very short time, require no new hardware and allow dynamic implementation of performance requirements, from high-performance computing and machine learning to big data storage and analysis.
