The position is offered at the earliest possible date until December 31st, 2020.
Your tasks
- developing stochastic models of the kinetics of membrane proteins
- implementing simulation methods for colocalization of fluorescently labeled molecules
- comparing simulation results with microscopy data
Your profile
- some years of scientific experience in mathematics, physics, chemistry or related disciplines, preferably with PhD
- high interest in the stochastics of molecular and cellular processes
- experience in stochastic modeling with Markov processes
- knowledge of modern microscopy technology
- good programming skills in Matlab, R, or Python
- excellent communication skills, within the project group as well as with clinical cooperation partners
- good command of written and spoken English, proficient German skills are of advantage
