The position is offered at the earliest possible date until December 31st, 2020.

Your tasks

  • developing stochastic models of the kinetics of membrane proteins
  • implementing simulation methods for colocalization of fluorescently labeled molecules
  • comparing simulation results with microscopy data

Your profile

  • some years of scientific experience in mathematics, physics, chemistry or related disciplines, preferably with PhD
  • high interest in the stochastics of molecular and cellular processes
  • experience in stochastic modeling with Markov processes
  • knowledge of modern microscopy technology
  • good programming skills in Matlab, R, or Python
  • excellent communication skills, within the project group as well as with clinical cooperation partners
  • good command of written and spoken English, proficient German skills are of advantage
