Research position (m/f/d)

Pay grade: E14 TV-L Berlin (100%). 

This vacancy can be filled at the earliest possible date and is a fixed-term contract until April 30, 2022. 

Within the EnergyLab of the Research Campus MODAL, the successful candidate will develop and analyze methods for the simulation of the integration of hydrogen in natural gas transport networks and storage facilities. 

Your tasks 

  • Analyzing the feasibility of the integration of hydrogen in natural gas transport networks and storage facilities 
  • Simulating the transition of gas storage to hydrogen in porous media, based on the permeability/porosity 

Your profile 

  • Excellent Ph.D. in mathematics, computer science, or related disciplines 
  • Strong background in applied mathematics and data analysis 
  • Experience in simulation of fluids and gases 
  • Good programming skills in at least one language 

We expect reliable communication and teamwork skills, a high level of independence and commitment, as well as the competence and willingness to write scientific publications on an international level.
