Contributors

Dr. Martin Weiser, head of the Modeling and Simulation of Complex Processes department at the Zuse Institute Berlin, started Kaskade 7 development in 2006. He is main architect and author of the code. He studied mathematics and computer science at the Free University of Berlin before joining ZIB.


Prof. Dr. Anton Schiela, U Bayreuth, coauthored and contributed to the code in particular in the first couple of years, when he was PhD student and postdoc at ZIB.


Dr. Sebastian Götschel, TU Hamburg, coauthored and contributed to the code for many years when he was PhD student and postdoc at ZIB.


Felix Baumann, worked as PhD student at ZIB. He studied mathematics at TU Berlin and contributed to the mechanical contact solver and semi-geometric multigrid in Kaskade 7.


Julia Ullrich, worked as research assistant in the department Modeling and Simulation of Complex Processes at the Zuse Institute Berlin. She studied mathematics at the Technical University of Berlin.


Dr. Fatemeh Chegini works as Postdoc in the project MICROCARD at ZIB. She studied computer science at the Université della Svizzera italiana in Lugano. She worked on SDC time stepping, BDDC preconditioner, and semi-continuous FE spaces in Kaskade 7.


Lea Strubberg, worked as student assistant in the project MICROCARD at ZIB. She studied mathematics at the Freie Universität Berlin.


Jakob Sudau, works as PhD student at ZIB. He studied mathematics at HU Berlin and contributed POD model reduction aspects to Kaskade 7.


Julian Schramm, works as PhD student in the project MICROCARD at ZIB. He studied mathematics at TU Berlin and joined the group after a detour to industry.
