Data Sets from Past and Present Social Systems
This data set collection is part of the Thematic Einstein Semester (TES) The Mathematics of Complex Social Systems: Past, Present, and Future and contains characteristic data sets as well as associated research questions.
TES Data Challenge
We invite groups of students to explore the data sets throughout the summer semester 2022 with support from experts in the field. Each data set is accompanied by exciting research questions or challenges. If you have specific questions about a data set or need assistance analysing the data, please get in touch with the contact person of the respective data set. We invite groups of maximally 4 students to submit a working paper with their results (not more than 4 pages) to helfmannzib.de by September 1, 2022. The three best groups can present their results at the final conference of the TES on September 19-20, 2022 and will be awarded.
We also welcome students to write a Bachelor or Master Thesis on the analysis of a certain data set, for more information please get in contact with Natasa Djurdjevac Conrad (natasa.conradzib.de).
